What Was This Project? This project was geared twoards the idea of homeostatsis through the bodies use of feedback loops. Each body system has many feedback loops making the body stay in a constant state. Each group, mine was me, Derek, and Max, chose a specific feedback loop system. Ours was the stabalizing of blood sugar. Were we told to do trials and experiments which would prove the use of these feedback loops to maintain homeostasis. We then wrote a report to use a real communication of our findings. Finally we made a poster out of our information in order to better represent the data to an audience, our classmates.

Concepts:
Homeostasis- The bodies way of using feedback loops to keep the body at a constant and healthy state this was the process we were meant to prove in our project, specifically its relation to levels of sugar in the body.
Positive Feedback Loop- A feedback loop that makes stimulus more enforced therefore is unbound-less in the positive direction, although our specific experiment was not an example it was important vocab in understanding Negative Feedback.
Negative Feedback Loop- A feedback loop that makes the stimulus decrease therefore is unbound-less in the negative direction, in our project we studied to apposing feedback loops in our blood sugar system that keep equilibrium.
Heart- A muscular organ that pumps blood, an important organ for our project.
Blood Sugar- The amount of sugar in the blood as it is pumped throughout the body. This was the main focus of our project as it is what was maintained by homeostasis
Insulin- A chemical that limits the amount of sugar in your blood. One of the responses of the feedback loops.
Glucagon- A chemical that increases the amount of sugar in your blood. Another of the responses of the feedback loops.

Reflection:
Over the course of the project not only did we make a real scientific article but both my group and me personally grew in terms of knowledge and teamwork. As members of a group we all had our own ways of helping out to work towards the goal. Personally I feel I excelled in both collaboration and leadership. I made sacrifices of my own time quite a bit for this project. I also tried to make it a fun and welcoming environment for my teammates. But I also, had many areas that needed improving. I realized during the project that I tend to push my own thoughts and plans as well as not delegating certain tasks and jobs as much as I should. I realized this and really tried to improve over the course of the project. As the project came to a close our group began to truly work together, I tried to let others speak first and give there ideas value as well as trying to let others have as much work accomplished as I did, so they could fell the benefit of hard work as well. This is what made this project a growing experience both intellectually and in character.
