Purpose: The Sophomore Advocacy Project (or "Sophomore Speech") was designed to provide students with an opportunity to examine a current issue in today's world-studying the various components of the issue and evaluating differing viewpoints on the matter-then to ultimately develop an argument in favor of a resolution of the issue.
Driving Question: If you were able to create awareness of a social issue, what would it be? What do you argue is the best solution to the problem?

Reflection:
I deeply enjoyed this project. It was one of the first times in my education that I have truly cared about an assignment on a personal level. It not only let me explore and defend an important issue but also let me explore and grow in my writing, work ethic, and time management. It taught me that if you do something little by little, trying to make improvements about a project you truly care about it results in something much more powerful and worth being proud of.
